FFC connector, flexible flat cable connector, is a new type of data cable made of PET insulation material and extremely thin tinned flat copper wire, which is pressed together by high-tech automation equipment production line.
Its basic properties are as follows:
Same plane/different plane: FFC is flat, and the copper wire surface that can contact FPC is the same plane if it is on the same plane; On the contrary, it is different plane
Reinforcement plate: in order to protect the soft copper wire from being inserted into FPC smoothly and to protect the copper wire from being broken during insertion and removal, the interface with thickened and hardened both ends needs to be strengthened (example: haolong electronics)
Today, the FFC connector provided by Haolong Electronics is widely used in the connection between various printer print heads and motherboards, signal transmission and board connection of plotters, scanners, copiers, stereos, LCD appliances, fax machines, various DVD players and other products. In modern electrical equipment, almost everywhere.
The main difference between FFC connector and FPC
FPC is flexible print circuit flexible printed circuit. From their manufacturing, the way they form the circuit is different:
1 FPC is a flexible circuit board with different single-sided, double-sided and multi-layer structures processed by FCCL (flexible copper clad) by chemical etching.
2 FFC is a flat copper foil sandwiched between the upper and lower two layers of insulating foil film. The finished product is simpler and thicker.
In terms of price, natural FFC is much cheaper, and considering the cost of production, more companies prefer to use FFC-related designs.
FFC flexible cable industry general specifications
P × N × TL × TYPE × (S1/S2 / S3/S4) (CT × CW)
Number of Spacing Screens Total Length Model S1/S2: Stripping Length S3/S4: Reinforced Plate Length Conductor Thickness Conductor Width
For example, 0.5 × 45 × 300 × A(4/4/8/8)(0.035 × 0.30) means 0.5mm spacing, 45 bits, 300mm total length, same direction, 4mm at both ends, 8mm length of reinforcing plate, FFC flexible cable with copper wire specification of 0.035*0.30, and this specification is mainly applicable to LCD liquid crystal.
